Smart Growth is Smart Business

On November 15, Jim Charlier spoke in Buffalo, New York as part of “Smart Growth is Smart Business” – a series of speeches and presentations organized by Partners for a Livable New York. Prior speakers in the series, which began in March and wraps up in December, have included John Norquist and Christine Todd Whitman. Jim’s presentation was entitled “Mobility in the 21st Century.” The event, held at the Nichols School on Tuesday night, was attended by about 150 people including members of various local advocacy groups such as event co-sponsors Forever Elmwood, Partners for a Livable New York and the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo and Western New York. The final event in the series is scheduled for December 8, when William Fulton (Ventura, California city councilman) will speak on “Making It Happen – Putting Smart Growth Policies and Practices to Work.”
