Summer Staff Additions 2006

As Charlier Associates continues to expand into our new building, we are excited to announce several advancements to our staff.

Scott McCarey, Transportation Planner, passed the American Institute of Certified Planners entrance exam on May 19th.  Congratulations Scott!


Vickie Jacobsen, a former CAI employee who has been busy raising two young daughters, returns as an Associate.  Vickie is currently serving as Editor for our East-West Gateway project - New Design Strategies for Urban Arterials. Vickie is working with local leaders, planners and designers in the St. Louis metropolitan region and a team of consultants, led by CH2M Hill, to develop a set of solutions to rejuvenate and re-urbanize existing arterial streets. more...


Christopher J. Chopping joined CAI on May 22nd as Operations Manager.  CJ comes to us from Casper, Wyoming, where he started and operated a full service web development and computer consulting company for seven years. CJ will be instrumental in Charlier Associates’ upcoming work to use web-based planning and publication design on several of our new projects. more...


Jacob Riger, AICP is our new Senior Transportation Planner.  Jacob has eight years Project Management experience working in both the public and private sectors.  Coming from the Renaissance Planning Group, he has recently led projects for clients such as the Brevard, Florida MPO, Space Coast Area Transit and the City of Ocoee, Florida.  His expertise includes integrated multimodal planning, traffic modeling, congestion management systems, MPO planning and public involvement. more...


Lisa Malde is a Transportation Planner who also brings experience working in both the public and private sectors.  She holds Masters degrees in Urban Design and Urban and Regional Planning from University of Colorado at Denver.  As a former employee of the City of Flagstaff, Lisa has worked on a number of urban redevelopment projects.  She will be coordinating CAI’s expanding GIS and SketchUp work. more...


Jennifer Valentine will begin work as a Transportation Planner in late June.  Jennifer is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.  She holds a Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning and brings experience working for the national Active Living by Design program where she spearheaded the creation and maintenance of the Active Transportation website. more...
