Jefferson County, Colorado – Clear Creek Canyon Trail Feasibility Study
Background
Charlier Associates, Inc. developed a trail feasibility study for Clear Creek Canyon in Jefferson County Colorado. Clear Creek Canyon is a living piece of Colorado history and is home to world class climbing and whitewater activities. CAI worked with a multidisciplinary team, as a subconsultant to Wenk Associates, to plan a multiuse trail that would offer access to points of interest while also connecting existing trail facilities on both ends of the canyon.
Key Project Recommendations
- Design/build facilities that accommodate bicycles and other trail users.
- Provide a comprehensive parking plan to address trailhead use and safety.
- Further study the feasibility of a shuttle system to meet the needs of all trail users.
